It only requires Goldclover x2 to craft and Goldclover is, by far, the easiest herb to farm in Northrend. Using just the Crazy Alchemist Potion recipe (skill level 400) I've learned all the 'Discovery!' recipes except the transmutes. I found a cheaper recipe that has provided results for my Alchemists, and several guildmates Alchemists AND I've provided Screenshots. Most of the ways described in these threads involve either a) a lot of materials, b) a lot of gold.
